Tots Bots nappies are the top-selling cloth nappy in the UK, and for good reason. Time after time, my customers come back and say that of all the nappies they've tried, the Tots is the best.
This is a fitted, terry nappy with gentle elastic at the waist and legs. Extra layers of terry are sewn into the nappy and booster so that there are 5 layers of terry where you need it most. The terry towelling used in the nappy is specially woven for Tots Bots and is many times more absorbent than your average terry fabric. This is therefore an exceptionally absorbent nappy.
The booster is attached at one end, but folds out for faster drying. It can be placed straight into the nappy, or you can fold it towards the front (for boys) or the middle (for girls).
The Size 1 nappy has an attached fleece liner to keep your baby's bottom dry. (For older babies, a separate liner works better, so there is no attached liner in the Size 2.)
Fastening and Fit
The nappy is fastened with a snappi, providing a completely adjustable fit, no matter what your baby's shape. This, combined with the lovely thick terry, means Tots Bots nappies offer a supremely snug fit and reliability which is almost impossible to achieve in other nappies. (NB: Snappis are not included in the price, but can be purchased separately.) Snappi-fastening nappies are particularly good for inquisitive toddlers, if they show signs of wanting to take the nappy off themselves.
The nappy is also available with easy-to-use Aplix fastening. (Aplix is a high quality brand of velcro.) An important feature of the Aplix nappy is the fold-back tabs - an extra piece of Aplix on the waist tabs which means the Aplix can be folded over and protected while washing. This means the Aplix lasts longer (no threads getting caught in it) and it will not get tangled up with everything else in the wash. Aplix-fastening nappies are good for those with reduce dexterity (eg arthritis), or for infrequent nappy changers (eg babysitters or grandparents).
