Get your teeth into this delicious Swiss-made Cocolo premium chocolate available, 70% cocoa, available in dark, dark with orange, dark with mint crisp, and dark with almond varieties. Cocolo chocolate is organic and Fair Trade and does not involve the use of child slave labour which is unfortunately rife in many of the regions where the world's cocao is produced.
Cocolo is a premium Swiss chocolate made from the very finest quality organic cocoa. Velvety, smooth and delicious, Cocolo contains absolutely no refined sugar and is sweetened with unrefined, organic, evaporated cane juice. The ingredients are purchased from developing country farmers at fair prices and the bars carry the Fair Trade mark. The chocolate is free of GM ingredients, packaged in 100% recycled paper and best of all - it's absolutely delicious.
Where does Cocolo come from?
The Cocoa and Evaporated Cane Juice are sourced from Fairtrade Co-operatives. The cocoa used in cocolo is produced by El Ceibo in Bolivia and Conocado in the Dominican Republic. The unrefined evaporated cane juice comes from AlterTrade in the Philipines. These communities are able to reinvest in their farms, their schools and their communities by selling the best beans through the Fairtrade market. We find this very exciting, and we hope you do too!
