Baltic Amber is a traditional European teething remedy. Baltic Amber is the fossilized resin of ancient trees, which grew in the Baltic region in Europe, 40 to 60million years ago. As Baltic Amber is a fossil resin, not a stone, it is lightweight, warm and comfortable to wear for children. In Rudolf Steiner philosophy, amber is said to help strengthen the life force of a child.

Each piece of Jewellery is handcrafted & unique, the colours, lengths and shapes of beads may differ slightly.

Safety

Our Baltic Amber teething necklaces are handcrafted by Selkiedesigns. The beads are strung on natural silk cord, as this is one of the strongest natural fibres available. A knot is tied between each bead, which reduces the number of beads that can come off the string to one, which reduces risk of choking or lost amber, in the unlikely event of the necklace breaking.

As an added precaution, Selkiedesigns Baltic Amber teething necklaces are fastened by a sterling silver parrot clasp and safety ring. The safety ring is designed to open under pressure where the ring if under pressure will open and the Baltic Amber teething necklace will fall off, preserving life & teething necklace.

Please Always:

• supervise the infant when wearing the necklace
• remove the necklace from the infant when the infant is unattended even if it´s only for a short period of time
• remove the necklace from the infant while sleeping during the day or overnight
• do not allow the infant to chew on the necklace
