Bambino Mio nappy covers have:

Soft binding on the leg cuffs and waistband to prevent rubbing on your baby's delicate skin.
Velcro® style fasteners to make them quick and simple to use, and to allow adjustment to suit the shape of each baby.
Elasticated leg cuffs and back waist to ensure a snug fit and prevent leaks
Maximum performance - two-piece nappies are used by professional nappy laundry services throughout the world in preference to other re-usables because of their overal higher efficiency and performance. The freedom to separate the nappy from the cover allows the nappy to unfold during washing to expose a greater surface area, for more efficient washing and rapid drying by air or machine. They also provide maximum absorbency with minimum bulk.

Note: the Bambino Mio cover best suits a prefold or pad fold style of nappy. ecobabe doesn't recommend Bambino Mio covers for Tots Bots or similar nappies.

Detailed Review : I have owned three Bambino Mio covers since starting cloth nappying. I didn't purchase them from this store, but I was so pleased to see that an Australian retailer is stocking them, as they are excellent covers and nappies. The gussets on the Bambino Mio covers are what make them really effective in holding in messes. I'm pretty sure I never had a leak out of the cover, even with a breastfed baby, and even when the mess had leaked from the nappy into the inside of the cover. It also gives a trimmer look, in my opinion, than a PUL cover without gussets. I have used these covers with terry flat nappies and I believe they are designed to be used with flats and prefolds, however I can testify that they are also ok to use with fitted nappies, as I do this all the time as well. You just need to make sure you tuck every little bit of fabric from the nappy inside the cover so there's no chance of leaking. The elastic is indeed very soft, softer than the fold over elastic on some of my other covers, and the velcro makes the cover well adjustable for different sized nappies. I would happily buy more of these covers in different sizes if I have another baby.
